Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. You too are invited to join the discussions.

Thing goes ping
Some people do not feel good while listening to electronic music, because they can't relate those sounds to their own habitat. The sounds do not resemble things, objects. Objectless sounds, like those from synthesizers, were therefor used in sixties films about aliens.
Why can I like those sounds? Did I learn to listen to objectless sounds, or do I have enough associations with things that go "ping" like Bea5, Putneys, Moogs, and microwave ovens that have just finished my pizza? (I heard that one in Biomekano.)
Can you listen to music without thinking of objects in spaces (rooms, landscapes or starscapes)?
