Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. Here are a bunch of maxMSP patches. Usually other peoples patches are hard to read, but these very open.

I also came across scanning synthesis which is basically wavetable synthesis. It scans the amplitudes of masses of a vritual circular spring and mass system, that lives on a toiletroll carton shaped universum.
