Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. Boxes
Ernst and I bought a doepfer box with selected doepfer modules in it, last week. I got 1/3 of it, which should be able to function as a funky synthesizer. But Ernst got to have the box (he now has two), so I'm currently looking for housing for the 30 cm of modules and 2 dozen huge extra cool switches (in stead of nerve wrecking patchcords). I think I found something in my own house, that will give the synth this rough, unfinished look that I like.
I came across Tim kaiser's site, a performer who puts his hacked electronics into new old houses like geiger counters and mine detectors. It's a bit like a lobster living in a shell, which I happened to find truely fascinating when I was a kid. Anyways. I'll be browsing for something like that for my new synth.
