Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. Formalism vs the scratching at the edge of possibilities 

As far as education is concerned, Dendriet has a lot of roots in the formalistic apporoach to music of the Institute for Sonology. But the way Erkki Kurenniemi was a researcher is actually more familiar to us, well, at least to me.
