Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. You too are invited to join the discussions.

8bit Revenge
Paul Slocum, who programmed the best Atari 2600 game ever, is still exploring the 8 bit world. He is still using the Atari 2600 and the Commodore64. The Commodore64s are look after for their SID sound chip. It's a cool 3 voice sound chip. It's might not be the best one, but it is the most hacked chip. Paul Slocom is still rewriting his program to interface the SID chip with a C=64. You can put the program on a ROM, and solder the ROM into your old C=64, so that it boots right into Paul Slocoms program.
Yars Revenge sounds totally cool on the Atari 2600. The drones are complex and the explosions were noisy. It's a shame Atari didn't emulate that dirty sound in their 2004 remake (the 10 in 1 joystick) but the gameplay is still addictive.
He also play music with reprogrammed matrix printers.
