Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. You too are invited to join the discussions.

Circuit bending links.

Here is a little list of sites that discuss circuitbending, or the art of adding functionality to usually cheap and limited toys and keeyboards. F7sound says: No instrument is safe, no toy left unbroken! Most circuitbenders hack the casio's and the Speak and Spell. Roilnoise felt he needed to get that toy as well. It's also what Alien Devices are hacking into. Also, the talking teacher is popular to bend. Noisy voicelike sounds are more interesting to the brain then bleeps, I guess... Circuitbenders sell Speak and Spells with a variety of pre-installed bends. But they have a 2 page beginners guide on circuitbending that is quite complete. The page gives an idea what our bend toys and radio's are worth. A page full of links about circuitbending can be found at burnkit2600.machinenoise.com and do check their own modified toys.
