Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. A nice interface
Check out this movie of the Khronos Projector. They have a nice way of projecting what they do. This 3-axis projections are drawn in a frame in this movie, just to explain the idea:
Frames of a movie are placed behind eachother, and by distorting the projection in the z-axis, parts of the image are in a nother time then others. Then they made an interface that does exactly that: You can push your hand in to a screen, and distort it's shape, thus distoring the time in the image.
