Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. You too are invited to join the discussions.

If you are not @ touCh in The Hague, but happen to be in Amsterdam: Jan Langedijk made a mime piece with the students from the mime dept. One day
Their circular life photographed and recorded 5 spots in Yurp all day long, 24 hours, and placed those recordings on the web. There's a circular dial to speed through the day at each of those places.
It reminds me of Clarence Barlows "Calcutta CCU" and worldtrip pieces.

Ads on your ipod?
(This is also the reason why I stopped using email for personal interests. I can't stand vi4gra ads in between intimate letters.)
Why did it get linked on a regular newssite if this is a prank site? GDMD I hate humor.

Awesome? O!
Some of you might have (should have!) noticed mrtwig.net has been killed. From now on we get our fix at awesomo.net.

Forbidden Planet
The movie Forbidden Planet, made in 1956, set a lot of standards for Sci Fi space movies. It has a bubbling analog synthesis soundtrack, with mostly amplitude- and ring modulation. These sounds are still associated to aliens. But interestingly enough, they aren't used as pseudo-concrete sounds, but as music.
Other supercool standards in this movie are the decors. The control-hardware of the spaceship looks a lot like the studio's they have been making the sounds in. Also you will enjoy the painted backgrounds and her short skirt.
There is a torrent but officially, you should wait 1.8 years before uploading a bit. But what is a year on the scale of our galaxy.
