Dendriet is a network of musicians in The Hague (.nl) that perform with networked electronic and acoustic instruments. The word dendriet, or dendrite, is also the name for the receptors of a nervecell. Dendrites are typically branching branches. You'll find these fractal shapes in ice, in metal chrystals in limestone, and likewise, in our performance setups. Please do check out our homepage by clicking the stone. You too are invited to join the discussions.

Dendrites
We choose the name dendriet as it resembles a lot of things: the wires in our setups, the max-patches, the way we organised ourselves. Dendriet is not a band, nor a collective. We mostly do side projects. Branches, if you will. Another nice thing about dendrites, is how they are generated. Trees, metal whiskers and christals 'use' similar algorithms. Some mathematicians do too.
And This applet turns the links in URL's into a forest of dendrites.

Steven Vinkenoog
I found this site too late, this exposition is allready over... But it appears that my schoolmate Steven Vinkenoog is still doing cool stuff these days, combining visual art & mechanic (guitar)noises.

Two excellent musicians with an excellent idea: this must be something not to miss!
